Here you go!

Whenever I feel like binging (I get cravings a lot), I do all of these things.
• Go brush your teeth. Chew gum. (Careful, make sure it’s sugar free and don’t have too much. It still has calories, but very low) Minty. Food would taste disgusting with that.
• Chug a cup or 2 of water. Maybe you’re not hungry. Maybe you’re just dehydrated.
• Consider if you want to binge because you’re actually hungry, or just emotionally hungry. If your stomach is rumbling, go have some carrots or something healthy & low cal!
• Think about your goals, your thinspiration, all of the reasons you want to lose weight. Think of how binging will feel good for about 5 minutes, then make you feel awful the entire week. Think about how good it will feel if you resist.
• Drink green tea! (no sugar)
• Come on tumblr! Look at all the motivational quotes, success stories and pictures.

Do all or some of these next time you want to binge. :) Remember, it’s not easy, but it’ll definitely be worth it!

Also, anyone can message me if they’re feeling too tempted and I’ll motivate you to resist! Just ask for my msn, fb, skype etc. :)

Would anyone be interested?

I liked my outfit today.

Hmm.. This is hard because all I really try to think of is the good things that come of it.

I’m afraid that I’ll have a hard time maintaining and I’ll become fat again.

That was not a pretty time of my life.

Enough babble, here is my routine for the day, which is still somewhat challenging as I cannot move smoothly through every pose transition quite yet, but how awesome is it that I KNOW next week it’s going to be much easier? =D

AM Workout <— Did this in the morning, before I showered/ate

1) Morning Yoga for Flexibility - Beginners (7 min)

2) Yoga for Balance - Beginners (5 min)

3) Strength Building Yoga - Beginners (7 min)

4) Weight Loss Yoga - Beginners (10 min)

5) 4-Week Strength Building Yoga - Intermediate (7 min)

Total:  36 minutes. Goes from stretching out your limbs to building balance and strength. The latter part of the routine sequence makes me sweat + loosens up my body for the rest of the day.

PM Workout <—— Did this before I ate dinner :) MMM Got my stiffness from furiously writing/thinking for 5+ hours!!

1) Yoga for Flexibility - Beginners (5 min 30 seconds)

2) Yoga for Getting Out of Your Way - Intermediate (11 min)

3) Cardio Yoga Challenge 1 - Beginners (4 min)

4) Get Ripped Abs from Yoga - Beginners (4 min) <— note, you need a yoga block, and this stuff HURTS

5) Yoga for Balance - Beginners (5 min)

Total: 30 minutes. Stretches you out, works you through poses that require more flexibility, targets your abs and then winds down with some simple stretching/balancing. Did the cardio yoga video for the first time today O_O

I switch up my routines every day, depending on how my body is feeling and what areas I would like to improve on. If a new routine is hard, I will generally keep it in my rotation until it is comfortably doable. I like Tara because I can pick and chose exactly how much I want to do and how hard I want to work :) While this usually would make a lazy girl like me pick the easiest 3 routines and just repeat that every day, I’ve found that I’ve grown to search for a challenge after the easier stuff is done, and I actually LOOK FORWARD to starting new routines that look difficult so I can perfect them!  Bravo!

And that is my first Yoga Routine + Progress Monday!! :) Am I cheesy to say “Namaste” at the end?

Rules:

Woo! Taking a cool down break now! I’m supposed to go back out with my mom later after the thunderstorms but I wanted to get a decent workout in before they started just in case they don’t pass!

99 degrees!!! I can’t believe I made it, take that freakish June heat! :D

It only took 1.5 full 24 oz water bottles to get me through!

Day 2 of my workout is completed! This workout was not sweet at all. No Joke. My Legs felt like two big bricks. Didn’t work too much on back because I did that yesterday. Ended my workout with 15 mins of cardio on my bike in the basement. This workout was very effective and my legs are a killer right now.

Another HOT 97 Article!: Read my article and make sure you leave a comment! Thanks guys!

I’M STARTING WITH DAY 9 BECAUSE IT’S THE NINTH OF JUNE. IM WEIRD LIKE THAT, AND ALSO SLIGHTLY LAZY. I DON’T WANT TO WRITE A BUNCH OF POSTS TRYING TO CATCH UP, ANYWAY HERE IT GOES.

YES. YES.YES.YES.YES.

ONE OF MY EARLIEST MEMORIES OF PEOPLE MAKING NEGATIVE COMMENTS WAS WHEN I WAS IN SIXTH GRADE. I WAS IN GYM CLASS, AND THE WHOLE CLASS WAS SITTING IN ROWS ON THE FLOOR OF THE GYMNASIUM. THERE WERE TWO BOYS BEHIND ME, SITTING NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER. I COULD HEAR ONE LEAN OVER AND WHISPER TO THE OTHER ‘SHE’S AS BIG AS A BUS’. I KNEW THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT ME, I WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, I WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST GIRLS IN THE CLASS, AND WHEN I TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT THEM THEN STOPPED GIGGLING AND STARED AT ME.

THE MAIN PERSON THAT GIVES ME GRIEF ABOUT MY SIZE AND MY WEIGHT IT MY MOTHER. SHE ALWAYS SAYS MY CLOTHES ARE TOO TIGHT, BUYS XXXL SHIRTS FOR ME, RECOMMENDS DIETS, ALWAYS SAYS MY BOOBS ARE ‘HANGING OUT’, ECT. SURE SOME OF IT SOUNDS HELPFUL, BUT SHE SAYS IT IN SUCH A DEMEANING, RUDE, AND UNCARING WAY. I ALWAYS ENVY MY GIRLFRIENDS WHO HAVE CARING AND SUPPORTIVE MOTHERS, WHEN MINE IS -EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE- A BITCH.

LUCKILY, I DO HAVE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT ME. MY DAD, MY GRANDMOTHER, AND MY BOYFRIEND ARE THE THREE  MAIN PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT ME, ENCOURAGE ME, AND COMPLIMENT ME WHEN I’M FEELING MY WORST. MY BOYFRIEND LETS ME SIT ON HIS LAP AND COMPLIMENTS ME HOURLY, MY DAD TELLS ME WHEN I LOOK NICE, AND MY GRANDMOTHER CALLS ME BEAUTIFUL WHEN SHE SEEMS ME.

““All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; only the dose permits something not to be poisonous.””

breakfast- orange (75cal)

lunch- 2eggwhite (43cal) , 1/2 oz mozzarella (36cal) , 10 almonds (80cal)

dinner- .4 chicken breast (42cal) , 1tbsp teriyaki sauce (20cal) , .2 tbsp olive oil (25cal)

exercise- 15min walking (86cal) , 30min running (550cal)

net: -317cal

Mum made dinner with a bunch of weird sauces and I wasn’t sure how to count it but that’s the best I could do. I had a fucking awesome run, I was really upset and it totally cleared my head! I feel 110% better! :)

Now for some crunches and leg lifts then some studying and off to bed!

Anyone have any good high energy foods they could recommend? I hardly have any energy for school anymore and I need a way to keep it up for exams!

Before the Challenge Begins...

This is my first challenge program. It’s made to help create a healthy, fit lifestyle for those aiming to lose weight. There are a few preparations before it begins on Sunday, June 12. Here are some preps you need to know:

  1. The challenges go week by week. Every day is something different, but there is always a basis to the reason the work outs were picked.

  2. The first day the weekly challenges are on Sunday. Those are the days that are most preferred for weigh ins.

  3. Along with the work out regimen, I will occasionally put in a few dieting tips. Truth is, the dieting is up to you. To find your perfect diet, use these steps:

    A. Become a member of loseit.com. This website will tell you the goal amount of calories you should eat a day to lose the weight you want. B.

It’s preferred that you also join Dailymile.com because this keeps track of how much running is done a week. I didn’t use it as much, but then I got into it and I find it to be LOADS of fun. C. Last but not least, I’m part of my-calorie-counter.com. This website has thousands of low calorie recipes, and it’s my favourite way to keep track of calories.

  4. When you have done these steps, message me your usernames so I can follow you! I want to follow anyone who is willing to work hard and be healthy.

  5. Here’s one major rule: Please, try NOT to use laxatives, or force your body to do things it is not supposed to do. This is supposed to be as healthy as possible guys…

  6. Say it is Monday. At night, I’d pose Tuesday’s exercises, just so everyone is kept in the same place and you have a head start of knowing what you need. Depending on the week, you may need different things. Those would also be posted the day before hand. My first posts for the challenge will be up this Saturday.

  7. Here’s a bonus: Every week, I’d like it if some followers told me how much they lost, what their favourite exercises of the week were, any improvements, or anything along those lines. I want you to get into this program so you, too, are helping others. The top two or three responses will get major promos!

    30-Day Paleo Challenge: Day 5

Today I discovered my green tea wasn’t exactly paleo-friendly. One of the ingredients is “natural flavors.” This sounds great, doesn’t it? Here’s a description of natural flavors from the FDA:

The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof, whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional.

In laymen’s terms, this means natural flavors could be anything. Context is likely key here, meaning my green tea probably doesn’t have dairy products in it. It comes to how serious I want to be. On one side, “if you’re going to do this whole paleo thing, just do it right.” On the other, “not a big deal.”

In this specific case I say “not a big deal.”

    • Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs, 3 bacon strips, blueberries, coffee
    • Lunch: 1 hamburger, tomato wedges, cucumber slices, iced green tea
    • Snack: deli turkey, 1 orange, almonds
    • Dinner: Salmon, asparagus, watermelon, 2 lime juice/tequila drinks
    • Snack: deli turkey, 1 banana
