Bruder! Bruder, look! Isn’t this awesome?!

Really Germany? Nude hiking trails?:

I don’t think there is much to say here, other than the last thing I want to see while nude is a wild animal or a mosquito.

time to spazz and unleash the gay fanboy in me!

lately, i’ve been seeing a lot of fanart about the hetalia: axis powers anime/manga. so i googled it up and found out that it’s a very interesting anime. as i was reading each character’s profiles (and searching for their photos), i immediately fell in love with germany, yup, that guy in the photo. XD he looks so…manly. and oh god, this series is just overflowing with good-looking men. XD i haven’t started watching it yet but here i am and i can’t calm my tits already. i know it’s not yaoi but there are lots of yaoi undertones in it so it’ll be really fun. spain is handsome too.

p.s. lol lots of men and lots of pairings to do.

*fanboy scream and giggles*

What are you looking at? I’m right here…

Saturday is for reading

One of the ways to spend a rainy saturday in June. Reading.

Book of the week - City of Thieves by David Benioff

One of the best books I have read. A true story from WW2 Russia during the siege of Leningrad (now called Saint Petersburg). It will change your whole outlook on life. Powerful story that everyone should read.

Short description:
During the Nazis' brutal siege of Leningrad, Lev Beniov is arrested for looting and thrown into the same cell as a handsome deserter named Kolya. Instead of being executed, Lev and Kolya are given a shot at saving their own lives by complying with an outrageous directive: secure a dozen eggs for a powerful Soviet colonel to use in his daughter's wedding cake. In a city cut off from all supplies and suffering unbelievable deprivation, Lev and Kolya embark on a hunt through the dire lawlessness of Leningrad and behind enemy lines to find the impossible.

Book of the week disappointment

I hate the fact that I was right about this book . I am stuck on page 30 something and I just can not continue. "Love of my life" is just not the kind of book I like. Ah, well... at least I tried. Don`t get me wrong, I like to read a good love story from time to time - for example "One day" by David Nicholls was great. But they are not my favorite genre.

Book of the week - Love of my life by Louise Douglas

The book I choose for this week is Love of my life by Louise Douglas. Now, I usually don`t like this type of books. Romantic, love novels are really not my thing, but this was a really cheap book (4$) so I decided to give it a try. I will let you know what I think of it when I finish reading it.

Here is a short description:
"The Love of My Life" is a beautiful novel that portrays both the innocence of childhood, and the dynamics of love and loss with deftness and sensitivity. It is, above all, a stunning debut from an author with a unique and natural narrative voice

Olivia and Luca Felicone had known each other nearly all their lives, but when they fell in love as teenagers and eloped to London they broke the hearts of those closest to them. Luca's parents run Marinella's restaurant, the colourful hub of life in the otherwise bleak north-eastern seaside town of Watersford, and his mother, Angela, has never forgiven Olivia for causing such a rift in her beloved family.

On a freezing January night Olivia's life is shattered when she learns that Luca has been killed in a car accident. She is left with nothing and, after suffering from weeks of overwhelming grief, she abandons her job and returns north to where Luca has been buried in Watersford. Olivia's chance meeting with Luca's married twin brother, Marc, leads to the realization that he is experiencing a loss almost as painful as her own.

Their desolation draws them into an affair which both know has no future, but fills the space where Luca should be. It is a course of action that can only spiral out of control, and when it does the consequences are both explosive and cruel.

My Vampire academy collection

Well, almost the entire collection. "Last sacrifice" is missing. Can`t wait to buy and read the last book from the series. More about Vampire Academy - here

Book of the week - Vampire Academy Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

I am addicted to this series. I fell in love with the characters, and this week I am reading book number five. I don`t want to spoil the series for you if you havent read it so I will give you a short description of the first book from the series.

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with an unbreakable bond to the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest and most dangerous vampires--the ones who never die.

The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir; she is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making her one of them.

After two years of illicit freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir's Academy, hidden in the deep forests of Montana. Rose will continue her Dhampir education. Lissa will go back to being Queen of the elite Moroi social scene. And both girls will resume breaking hearts.

Fear made Lissa and Rose run away from St. Vladimir's--but their world is fraught with danger both inside and out of the Academy's iron gates. Here, the cutthroat ranks of the Moroi perform unspeakable rituals and their secretive nature and love of the night creates an enigmatic world full of social complexities. Rose and Lissa must navigate through this dangerous world, confront the temptation of forbidden romance, and never once let their guard down, lest the Strigoi make Lissa one of them forever...
