dear arm...why you no work today?!
yesterday was my first legit doctors visit in somewhere between 5 and 7 years. i mean i went in august because i had the bronchitis buuut other than that i hadn’t been. thats what happens when you pay out the butt for school loans and can’t afford insurance because you’re still considered a temp. But now I’m not a temp and I have good insurance so…I guess I have to be an adult.
some notes on the experience:
- good: my health. at least for now everything “sounds good”
- bad: was not told it was a well woman exam as well as a physical…can I get a heads up?
- bad: first time having blood drawn. ever.
- good: weights down
- bad: tetanus shot….
- good: had a gorgeous day off of work because of the exam ((could i have gone it seeing as my doctors 2 miles from work? yes…did I? hell to the naw bobbyb))
- good: got referrals for my back, knee, and allergies
- bad: fasting…don’t these people know i love food?!
- bad: migraines in my brains all week…and then having to fast and them asking me not to take anything. i was not a happy camper.
as a pleasant side effect to all of this…and my somewhat spaz nature. i woke up at 6am to a dead arm. i thought something went terribly wrong with the shot b//c my arm was so asleep. it took either 20 good minutes or perhaps i fell back asleep before mobility re-happened. but it was startling for me. i was like i knew shots were bad for you…
ahh well. arms working but doesn’t want to. don’t they know i lift heavy shit all day?
