A Bathing Ape Baby Milo Clear Bapex

Offered up is a look into the new Baby Milo Clear Bapex from A Bathing Ape. Featuring a clear body, the watch uses a lightweight polycarbonate case while highlighting its official mascot Baby Milo on the faceplate. Accenting the timepiece are hits of orange, white and black, which match up well with Baby Milo’s brown colorway. Look for this latest release to drop on June 5, 2011.

3… 2… 1… 0. Ignition and lift off. The High Jewellery watch Timeless From the Earth to the Moon takes off. It soars up to the sky. The engines leave a trail of diamonds and sapphires behind them. Inside the gold multi-coloured rocket, the awestruck passengers gaze at the earth’s pearly reflections. The star-filled sky, studded with diamonds, sparkles. The exploration of the infinite can begin…

Iridescence of the mother-of-pearl and precious luminosity

The High Jewellery Timeless From the Earth to the Moon decor watch pay homage to the faultless expertise of the “Mains d’or” (golden hands). The design’s creative audacity and the unique setting techniques contribute to the conception and creation of this amazing piece. Van Cleef & Arpels’ master stone setters have rigorously selected the diamonds for their sparkle, purity and carat size before entirely setting the dial’s bezel with them.

Inventing mother-of-pearl inlay

On the lower part of the dial, mother-of-pearl inlay covers the earth’s surface. Its changing reflections make this time-keeping jewel come alive.
Craftsmen accomplish amazing feats with mother-of-pearl inlay. During three months they delicately carve out the materials; white, black or grey mother-of-pearl, jasper, quartz and a variety of hard stones. They assemble the pieces, sometimes thinner than half a millimeter, with incredible precision. Their meticulous savoir-faire creates precious miniatures on which the watch hands will turn.
These remarkable masters have the power of breathing life into materials. A slight turn of the wrist changes the mother-of-pearl’s reflections.

The High Jewellery watch Timeless From the Earth to the Moon adds another story to the Maison’s great book of watchmaking creativity, a tradition started in 1920. It enriches Extraordinary Journeys collection with a glowing aura.

The lovely things I find in the back of my closet:

  1. I think it’s a sign I need to start reading and working on my writing again. And how convenient. A book I’ve owned for a while, but haven’t opened yet.

  2. One of my favorite pair of sunglasses. Love, how did you get “lost” in the first place?

  3. Wallet from Disneyland. Can’t put much in it and shoot the wallet cost more than what I have in my wallet right now, but I heart it to death.

  4. Hello Kitty. Enough said.

  5. My Charlie Chaplin hat, took me forever to find one of these.

  6. Comfy, comfy shoes and oh so cute.

  7. Goodbye purses! I think I’m going to rock this backpack for a while.

I’m in the middle of moving and I’m finding all sorts of stuff that I forgot I had or I thought I had lost, like this old Oriënt Diver.

I don’t think I’ll wear it much, the line between hommage and just plain fake is a little too thin for my current taste but it’s still a fun watch.

Superwho • We got the love (Supernatural + Doctor Who)

why is it ok to have your baby listen to music, but not watch tv for the first 2 years?:

I always hear “no tv for the first 2 years” because it can interfere with communication develpoment and other reasons.

Watch the “Everything” series over at Vimeo! It’s fun! This is their latest instalment.

Andy Kurovets redeems himself with this really cool idea. Not too sure I like the way he has executed it or the name, but very nice idea!

“…why you gotta stunt on my watch for?” … ” it happens!”

My life is just like that movie “Momento” except I’ve never seen it and I just forget stuff all the time.

My favourite accessory. Simplicity is the key.
