aimless olive

After posting pics of
the other day, I was asked
about the large painting (above)
just around the corner from it.

So happy to share the artist with you...
she is my very talented personal friend
Melissa of

My treasured painting
with soothing shades of grey and sand
is called "Progression."

Melissa is an incredible
photographer and stylist as well.

Escape

She often works
with acrylics on canvas,
inspired by nature's
beauty outside her window.

And her taste?

It's the best!
When she says buy a particular
scarf or jacket or whatever,
its wise to buy it.
'cause this girl has an eye.

Hope

The artist is in aviators with
me  a monkey on her back.

Melissa is one of the friendliest, funniest,
and creative people you will ever meet!

Isn't her work tranquil and ethereal?

hot pink sunshine

My niece sits
near a Palo Verde tree
blooming in my parents' backyard.

Considered "dirty trees" because
of the blanket of blooms they leave behind...

all images mine

Dirty?
Now that's what I call beauty in imperfection!
I found the sunshiny Arizona flowering trees
cheerfully vibrant, not unlike my niece Sofia.

chad wys: landscapes

Artist  Chad Wys
chooses colors for his abstract landscapes
which consistently cheer me.

(Congratulations to Chad, on the news one of his artworks
was chosen for the set of sitcom Modern Family.)

Liking these? Agreed.

All the beautiful originals (with the exception of last image) are MINE.

Lovely landscapes by Chad Wys may be purchased here,
and more of his photography and art may be enjoyed

Traditional Home is where
I first glimpsed one of his paintings
in a Swedish inspired interior.
Drawing mostly from his southern heritage,
George Marks works on wood with acrylic, oil, resin, and tar.

I so love his sense of color—quiet and serene,
and they work so well in a space
with a beachy palette.
