WRESTLING THOUGHTS March 4th, 2011

Layla

Of late I've bee very impressed with Layla.  Since she came into the WWE I've thought she was the best looking Diva in the company, and for awhile that was all she had going for her.

Until lately, since she's been partnered with Michelle McCool, who is one of the best in ring worker among the Divas, she has grown as a talent.

She sells the moves perfectly, she works matches fairly decent and her finisher (The Face Lift) is fucking awesome.

SmackDown! vs Raw

Since brand extension started, the two main brands in the WWE have been Raw and Smackdown!.  Obviously with Raw being the limelight show, racking in better ratings, and of late better talent.

But is Smackdown just a meh show?

Couple Fridays ago while watching SD, there was about 15-20 mins worth of back material from that weeks Raw.  Why is that?  I understand that you have to push your main show hard, but do you have take away from your number two?  Is showing the rewinds on Superstars not enough? I know that a lot of big things are happening on Raw lately; with the return of The Rock, return of Taker, return of Triple-H, but DAMN!!  In those 15 mins, you could have had 2 matches, and if it was TNA, you could of had a nights worth of wrestling.

To fix this is simple, STOP THE RAW REBOUND OR REWIND OR WHATEVER IT IS!!

Now onto something I've yet to talk about.

TNA/ BISCHOFF/ HOGAN

January 2010, Hogan and Bischoff set off to make TNA an aggressive force in the wrestling industry.
But what happened?  They did the opposite.  They took a great product and made it the joke of the wrestling world.  With shades from yesterday, and trying to recreate shit that didn't work in WCW many moons ago.  Why is this?  Surely they learned their lesson right?  Fool me once right?  From the looks from the outside, Nah not really.  But is there something else going on?

When WCW was on the auction block way back when, it was known that Eric Bischoff and his company were in the fight to purchase World Championship Wrestling.  But when TBS said fuck off, and refused to give them another TV deal, Bischoff and his people backed off, letting Vince buy the company for cheap.  Now isn't that weird?  So much interest in a dead show, that was still on TV.. Hmm..  What's my point?  Well this is my point.  WHAT IF!! (This is me just speculating here)  Eric is turning TNA to shit to tarnish their good name, to losing ratings, to lose buyrates, to lose fans, just to buy TNA on the cheap?

I don't want to get deep into this but just think about it.  History repeats itself..
