Fashion East line-up for AW11
Mary Homer, M.D. of Topshop says “I am delighted that, sixteen seasons on, Topshop's support of Fashion East continues to evolve. For the second season running, the designers will have the use of Topshop's Show Space, giving these talented individuals the opportunity to show their collections on the world stage. I have no doubt that Simone Rocha, Elliot Atkinson and James Long will follow in the footsteps of previous recipients who have achieved critical and commercial success.”
Simone Rocha’s deconstructed tailoring is simultaneously strong and romantic, exploring the interplay between masculinity and femininity. Her “undeniably cool designs” (Elle) have “already begun making waves amongst retailers” (WWD). Her SS11 collection has been featured in French Vogue, V magazine, Dazed and Confused, Elle, Sunday Times Style, i-D, Wallpaper*, Twin Magazine and Russian Vogue.
American's Next Top Model V.S. Britain's Next Top Model
Last week I saw the 6th season of Britain's Next Top Model on the internet, and I’ve been watching the 14th season of American Next Top Model on TV, and I think the U.K. version is better than the U.S. version.... I'm just saying....
The American original version is presented by Tyra Banks, the last season of the British version was presented by Elle MacPherson.
I don’t know why, maybe is the fashion in it, I prefer the British XD, maybe is because I lived in the U.K. for 9 months and I’ve been influenced. hehe

Topshop High Summer with go-behind-the-scenes video camp
Topshop’s in-house design team have the enviable task of finalising the trends the store will feature each season. They do this by trawling the globe in search of the most exciting new pieces, snapping great street style looks, and being inspired by all the cool places they visit. These ideas are then brainstormed, developed, and crystallised into the current Topshop High Summer collections.
For summer there are a lot of new looks to have fun with. Summer Fete offers a mix of sorbet shades, pretty prints and bleached-out denim, whilst in Festival Army, military-inspired pieces have a grungy edge. In Club Tropicana, body conscious summer dresses and hotpants in bold prints and colours look at home on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Finally, jersey maxi dresses, sleeveless denim gilets and towering platforms offer slick city chic in Body Armour. Topshop dresses continue to be key, particularly those featuring pretty sherbet colours and pastel ginghams. Shoes are also a big trend for SS10 with wedges and clogs taking centre stage.
