March Resume #4 @ Prague

I haven’t done my Prague Resumes experience in MONTHS! Aaaaaaaah Blasphemy.Soooo let me see if I can catch up from were I stopped. I will try resume it as much as possible. 

. In March, on the 10^th I had the opportunity to film like a publicity video for the company that I work in, BlueLink. I already put the video on my Blog on another post, if you would like to see it CLICK HERE, I’ll be the one girl with the brown skin (XD) black hair, with glasses, with an orange/red shirt speaking in Portuguese. Aaahhhh I’m such a Banana XD, I said “Spectacular” twice -_- my vocabulary kinda went to zero on that interview HAHA… LOOOOSSEERRR. And the shirt that I used for the clip, I had to take it bag to C&A, I bought on the same day as the interview on my way to my job, and when I was putting the shirt on, I noticed a hole on the side -_-, I couldn’t exchange it because that one was the only size S available L.

. On the 14^th the filming continued… this time they filmed us IN ACTION uuuhhhh lol, meaning they filmed us as we were working. Poor Camera guy, he had to wait awhile till I received a call >.<

. 19^th of March niiicceeee evening. I call it, The One Night and Five Bars Night, XD. I met up with Plamina and another colleague of her back from The Netherlands University Birgitte , we first went to a bar called Popo Café Petl. 

Then went to Chapeau for a while there was a Dj playing that night, a bit later another colleague of ours came in Francoise, when we decided to go downstairs to check out the Dj, we need it to pay to go there, plus a lot of people were coming out saying that the Dj sucked :/ , so we decided to leave. 

And we went to met with other colleagues of ours, at the Popo bar, the thing is, that there are apparently about 5 Popo bars in that Prague area, that we didn’t knew about it, so after we checked the the Popo bar that we were in a few hours ago if they were in or not (which they weren’t ‘cause they were on the other Popo), we “bumped” into them on the streets, cool! So we went to a club called the 2^nd Floor, and it’s actually placed on the 2^nd Floor of an old building. The music wasn’t that good either, we stayed for like an hour or so, I almost lost my mobile, I dropped my photo camera, so now the battery part, doesn’t close 100% :/ and it sucks so much ‘cause the camera is only like 1 year and half old, and it was a bit expensive and it has sentimental value ‘cause I bought it when I was in Nottingham. But it still works, just that now I put duck tape, to avoid any surprise openings and the 4 batteries come out lol. 

After 2^nd Floor we went to Harley’s, now THAT’S a cool place! It plays like Rock /Rock and Roll/ Metal Music, the decoration is very rock style, there a motorcycle hanging up on the wall and everything. We spent there most of the night, dancing and what not, we probably left Harley’s at 6:00AM, and I was still hyper, not sleepy at all XD.

 So we went to a near by café that is apparently is open 24 hours a day, it’s called Art Café Bar Fano. Me and Plami were starving -_- so we ordered like a toast (ham and cheese) and me café latte and she had tea. 

After nom nom noming we went home, arrived at almost 8AM, I slept till like 12PM, and that afternoon (20^th of March) me, my housemate Aya, her boyfriend Honza and Aya’s work colleagues, we went Ice skating in a nearby Ice Skating ring to our house, my knowledge of ice skating went back to ZERO! Last time I Ice skated was probably in December 2009 in Nottingham. By the end of that day I was officially dead with so much worked out, but still…. We went out for dinner, their version of garlic bread is interesting. So they will give you a slice of bread, and actually garlic pieces and you rube the garlic on the bread XD, and then you can put something like pate meat (mince meat) huummm nom nom nom, that was the starter, and for the main course I hate a Cesar Salad I think.

. On the 24^th my friend Yuiko came to visit me for a few days during her Spring Break. I met Yuiko when I was in Nottingham last year. I picked her up at the airport, and during the afternoon we went for a walk on the city center. I took her to my job for a bit, ant met up with Plamina who was finishing her shift, so us 3 ended up going to Viva Rock Candy, and shared a waffle with chocolate and chantilly.

. On the 25^th, we went again to the city center and walked along the Vltava River (aka Moldau River), went to the Clock Tower, ate something at a restaurant, crossed the famous Charles Bridge and went home for the night.

. On the 26^th I had to work during the day, and then I met with Yuiko in the city during the afternoon. We walked around the Jewish Cemetery; the Museum for the Jewish religion/tradition/history is too DAMN expensive to go in. After that we went home, Yuiko felt a bit tired and she stayed home, I went to a Bday of a colleague for a while, Debbie’s 25^th Birthday.

. 27^th, on this day we went to Prague Castle, very nice, but on the inside the building were so cold >.< . After a lot of walking, we ate a wonderful at a place that I can’t remember the name, it was very very good, and then we end up going home and sleep early, Yuiko had to leave my flat at like 6AM, in order to catch a bus to go to another city.

March Resume #4 @ Prague

Friday's Weekly Resume #2 @ Prague

Hiya, another week as passed, and some days were more agitated than others.

On the 29^th of January, I went to check out the house I saw on the internet on Friday. So it’s in Prague 6, the building is right next to a Tram and bus Stops, so that way I’m just a few minutes away from the Dejvická Subway/Metro Station. It’s a small apartment on the 4^th Floor, 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet room, 1 bathroom. Zuzana is the owner of the apartment, and she shared the flat with Aya. Zuzana is going away for a while for some abroad work, and they were looking for someone to live in the spared room. That’s when I came into the picture, I went there Saturday morning, met Zuzana and Aya, saw the apartment, talked a bit with them, and went back home, and waited for the answer…..

30^th of January – Didn’t do much during the day, I kept looking for other apartments, but no success whatsoever, and I was “praying” that Zuzana and Aya would pick me, cause the house is lovely. Later that day, Zuzana called me, and choose me YYYEEEAAAAHHHHIIIII, I was so happy. *Insert happy dance here* =3 So schedule my moving day for the 2^nd of February. Zuzana even offered to help me, by pick me and my stuff up at my friend’s house.

On the 31th of January and 1^st of February didn’t do much, I stayed at my friends house, and started to pack some things that I previously unpacked, and also distribute the weight, because the apartment is on the 4^th floor…. And there’s no elevator :/

2^nd of February – I had schedule with Zuzana my Landlord, at 9pm that she could pass by my friend’s house, to take me and my stuff to her place…. but then there was a bit of a last minute change of plans. My friend’s fathers decided that he was coming to Prague, and take her home to Slovakia on the 2^nd of Feb, and wanted to leave Prague at 5pm the latest…. My friend was suppose to go back to Slovakia on the 3^rd of Feb.

So I had to call my Landlord, asking if there was any chance that I could move in earlier, if there would be anyone at the flat during the afternoon. Lucky Aya my flatmate, was able to go home for an hour, so that I could move in. So I went by Taxi, there was no way I was gonna carry 50 Kilos (in total) in public transports. Once there Aya was very nice, and helped me carry my stuff aalll thhheee waayyy to the 4^th floor >.< Oh God I died….. ggeeeeezzzz

After resting for a some minutes and catch my breath back, I started unpacking with a big smile on my face :D. I love my new room, I think I like this room more than I like my own bedroom in Portugal haha, I definitely like this bedroom more than the one back in Nottingham.  I passed the rest of the day tidying up the room, and went to bed early, I was so tired, mentally and physically….

3^rd of February – I passed most of the day at home, just finishing some tidying up, and then when I wanted to go out, to buy some food, it started to snoooowwww aalooottt >.< for like 3 hours. After it stopped I went to a close by Supermarket called Billa. And cooked dinner for me and asked Aya if she wanted to join me. Aya is from Japan, she’s a ballet dancer here in Prague. She is very nice and friendly, I am happy to have her as my flatmate. During dinner we got to talk a bit and get to know each other better.

4^th of February – Did my morning shenanigans, and after lunch I went to the City Center, to see where is located the place that I’m going to do my internship. It was easy to find. Got in and talk to one of my Bosses that I’ve been in contact during my process. She is very friendly, and helpful, and she’s from Brazil, so we talked in Portuguese, and she explained to me a bit more what am I going to do there. I am both excited and nervous to start working there… I hope everything goes well.

Friday's Weekly Resume #2 @ Prague

February...

It's the 1st of February, say wwwhhaaattt :O ... So soon already....

Damn! It's what I always say, since the year 2000 came, times flies... 

My month of January passed like vrrrruummm, and so much happened, the 1st week I was still in Mozambique, then stayed 2 weeks in Portugal, and then rush up to Czech Republic o_O damn!

And now I realise that I'm 2 months and a half of becoming 25 years old, OOOHHH NOOOOOO! A quarter of a Century >.< aaahhh! ggeeeezzzz! 

But what I'm really looking forwards is for SPRING! OH YES! The cold over here is killing me. It's way much colder over here than it was in Nottingham comparing to this time of year to last year, I think. When I was younger I used to looooove Winter, but now I only crave for warm weather :3

Friday's Weekly Resume #1 @ Prague

Hi y'all, how are ya? Hopefully good ^^.

This time around I wanna try and "document" my abroad experience every Friday. In 2009 I went to Nottingham for a scholar year, and I planned to Blog and Vlog my experience, but due to some stuff I ended up not doing much. But I will still try to write about my experience in Nottingham, 'cause it was truly Legen...... wait for it...... DARY! :D

Anyways, I'm in Prague now, staying at a friend's house, 'till I can find a place of my own.

So on the 25th of January 2011, Tuesday, my flight left on schedule from Lisbon, Portugal, at 9:10am +/-, first stop was in Budapest, Hungary, and then Prague, Czech Republic, which I arrived at 15:15 local time. Left the airplane, caught my luggage, exchange some money, cause they don't use Euro over here -_- , and requested for a AAA Taxi, to take me to my friends house, there was no way that I was gonna catch a bus with all my heavy luggage XD, oh hell no!

I arrived at my friend's house, lovely house by the way :D and took a shower, eat some dinner, and then we went out... my first contact with Prague's night life, it was really fun.... really XD. We went to my friends' favourite place, the Chapeau Rouge , Bar+Nightclub, and we danced the night away... when we arrived at home, I was DEAD! Extremely tired, 'cause the night before I barely slept - anxiety mode ON - plus the waking up early, the journey, bla bla bla, plus dancing and drinking... yeah I died.

26th of January - We spent most of the day sleeping, recovering from the night before,and then in the afternoon, I left with my friends and they took me to the city center. One, Eva, went to the Library (they are both in Exams season), and the other one, Kamila, took me to Staromestská metro station, where I bought a Vodafone SIM card, and she left me there, and she went to take care of some stuff and then went to meet up with Eva in the Library. 

So I was left alone in Prague's city center :O >.< I didn't went toooo faarrr, it was allready like almost 5pm, so it was dark, I went to a grocery store bought some food, went to KCF's and ate a sandwisch and drank a orange soda called Mirinda. Funny thing, I almost laughed alone at KFC's when I saw that they had Mirinda, 'cause in Portugal I don't think we have this soda, but where I know there IS, it's in Mozambique XD, oohh weelllll. After I left KFC's, I walked for a while, and I was stupidfied by the old building, they are BBEEAAUUUTTIIFFFUULLLL *.* GEEZAUS! Then I managed to go home alone, didn't get lost yyeaaaahhiiii!

27th of January - We basically spent the day at home, the girls studying and me surfing the webs looking for a bedroom to rent. It's not like there isn't rooms to rent, is just hard to match a nice decent house, well located, with a good price. I learnt a few a thing or two with my Erasmus experience in Nottingham, like that I to live too far away from the city center, and analise everything in the house before renting >.< oh boy, you sure can find lots of problems in the house, once you are living there, and also make sure that there is a Supermarket and public transport nearby. We just left the house to go to a close by grocery store to buy some stuff, and I ended up bringing Salt thinking that it was Sugar XD.

28th of January - Morning, them studying, me looking for houses.... went out again, to by food, and I cooked our late lunch haha. Well at least no one died .... yet >.< hehe.

I did manage to find a possible room to rent, although a bit more expensive that I wanted :S but is nice, and I might check it out in person tomorrow, and hopefully seal the deal ^.^. Wish me luck.

Countdown..... to Prague....

This is it y'all >.<
I'm like 7 hours away of going to the airport. My flight is at 9:05am, and arrives at 15:30 +/- in Prague (don't know if that is portuguese time, or Czech time lol).
After alot of fighting with the bags, I think Im able to take everything I need, just hope that the scales at the airport don't mess with me -_- .
According to my Windows Vista weather thingy, it is -1ºC and snowing in Prague bbbrrrrrrrr aaaahhhhh >.< GEEZUS! I might get sick right on the first week >.< lol.
Wish me luck in finding a nice bedroom for myself to stay for the next 7 months *fingers crossed*

I'm like 7 hours away of going to the airport. My flight is at 9:05am, and arrives at 15:30 +/- in Prague (don't know if that is portuguese time, or Czech time lol).
After alot of fighting with the bags, I think Im able to take everything I need, just hope that the scales at the airport don't mess with me -_- .
According to my Windows Vista weather thingy, it is -1ºC and snowing in Prague bbbrrrrrrrr aaaahhhhh >.< GEEZUS! I might get sick right on the first week >.< lol.
Wish me luck in finding a nice bedroom for myself to stay for the next 7 months *fingers crossed*

Done aaaaand DONE! Prague here I come

On Monday I went shopping with my Mother, for a few little things that I need to take with me to Prague. Next week I'll be moving to Prague, I'm gonna do an internship over there for 7 months. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, I guess is normal right? This will be my first time going to Czech Republic ^^, and I'm lucky to know a few people over there, most of them are people that I met when I was studying in Nottingham 09/10, for my Erasmus year. I know a boy named Jay and a girl named Zuzana, I even got to live with them for a month while in Nottingham, but then shenanigans happened (nothing to do with them) and I have to change places. Also I know Eva, Zuzana's sister, and Kamila, Eva's friend ^^. Also I kinda know a girl named Claudia, she studied @ the same Uni as me in Lisbon, Portugal, the year before me 08/09 she did an Erasmus year in Nottingham, and later on she moved to Prague XD.

So I booked my airplane ticket, and I'm flying on the 25th of January >.< aaaahhh, hope no crazy Winter storm ruins my journey -_-.

It feels so weird, 'cause just like a week ago I came back from Mozambique, and now I'm flying off again. Maybe it's better this way, 'cause probably if I stayed longer over here, I would loose all my PUMPNESS and EXCITEMENT!

Tomorrow I will try and post some of the things that I recently bought :p.
