WEATHER FORECAST DOES NOT LOOK FAVORABLE FOR FRIDAY MORNING ATLANTIS LAUNCH.

The final mission of a groundbreaking program appears to only have a prognosis of around 30% to blast off as scheduled around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning. If you know anyone who works for, or is a fan of, NASA, this 'final encore' is making everyone nostalgic and almost grief stricken as they see the surviving orbiters retired for museum use only. Naturally, safety is a prime concern, and lightning just doesn't go well with a metal bird attached to a metal tower with a shitload of high octane fuel at the bottom. Stay tuned, but this one looks like it may be delayed into/past the weekend. You just can't beat the updates provided by NASA itself, as with the link below. The website is outstanding at updating in real time how procedures are going on board as the shuttle launches and lands.
