TOP BALTIMORE ORIOLE'S PROSPECT, MANNY MACHADO, PROMOTED TO FREDERICK.

Salisbury's loss is our, and ultimately the Orioles themselves, gain. Clearly the best prospect in the Baltimore Orioles organization, shortstop Manny Machado is being transferred to a bigger pond as he begins to master big league level pitching and fielding demands. We aren't going to kid you-the Orioles are going to suck this year, however, the Os have some legit good starting arms {if they don't blow them all out at the end of this failed season}, and a couple good young fielding foundation pieces, most notably center fielder Adam Jones and catcher Matt Wieters.

The move was expected, as several here called the exact date of the promotion in advance-immediately after the South Atlantic League All-Star game. One can expect a similar bump for Nationals top prospect center fielder Bryce Harper, as well. Machado is only 18, but could hardly hurt the cause even now filling the chronic dead-zone that is the middle of the Oriole's infield. May all these guys stay healthy so that we may be treated to viewing their immense talent for many years. And may the Yankees and Red Sox be hobbled by widespread roster ass cancer {hey, it's a joke...a chronic pink eye/Kardasian herpes outbreak would suffice-although this is likely to bring down the entire NBA instead} so that even a wild-card glimpse may become a future possibility in the galaxy's toughest baseball division.
