It causes me to remember why I prefer swimming as an aerobic exercise. But, it’s winter so swimming isn’t really an option. I seem to be made more for swimming than I am running. I have very long arms and legs and the water seems to agree with me more. I always swam as a kid/young teen so feels a much more natural activity.
I kind of wish there was an “aerobics” class that I could take haha. I was in one as part of my ‘fitness, stamina and strength training’ last year and the complete silliness of the activities and the dance-pop remixes makes it much more enjoyable.
But yes, I’ve been running. My body has been rejecting it thus-far, but apparently that will change.
I also need to start doing some basic calisthenic exercises. However, I am sick at the moment so it’s just running until I am well again.
It’s for three reasons really:
- I want to be healthier. Right now I am rather unfit. I need to try and fix the problems I’ve given myself through being a fucking blob in high school.
- It gets me up earlier in the morning and wakes me up. This means I can get more study done during the day and get to sleep earlier at night.
- I want to tone up a bit. Maybe lose a little weight and but the focus is to make everything a teensy bit firmer. I’m not expecting any huge results, I don’t have the time, budget or facilities to make any radical changes. But I do want to be more comfortable with my body in both a social and sexual sense. Just so that it’s all aesthetically pleasing enough to allow for me to be confident, you know?
So yeah. Not sure if I’ll start documenting how it all goes (probably not). But I guess this blog is about keeping you guys updated on what I’m doing and what I like. The aforementioned is one of those things.
