It is appearing like elements are in place for the "Perfect Storm" of increased street violence: more people on the streets, more guns in their possession and a piss poor economy where every dollar {whether from drug sales or pimping and such} becomes like lifeblood to those facing desperation. If one adds unbearable heat and humidity, more cold beer is consumed and a little disagreement turns into an OK Corral situation. We notice that there were multiple shootings in Baltimore last night. Recently on the Eastern Shore, two people were shot outside a nightclub, we believe by an employee of the club {we now note that club has relinquished it's liquor license and voluntarily shut their doors}. Enjoy the reasonable flow of comfortable air we have in place these days. But consider it is almost mid May, and the likelihood of a 90 degree plus, sustained heat wave gets closer each day. Keep your head on a swivel if going to an ATM or stopping at convenience marts late at night. And if you hear gunfire, "Run, Forest, Run"-preferably zig zagging in case they try to aim at you. Be careful out there!
