It was Paris’ turn to showcase what menswear will be available in the Spring/Summer seasons of 2011/2012 last weekend, and everything was a stunner…, well maybe not everything, like the horror that was the Givenchy and Kenzo collections, sigh. But here are some of my favourite looks from last weekend.

Dior Homme

I just don’t see Kris Van Assche’s vision for Dior Homme. He should focus on his namesake brand KVA.

Dries Van Noten

I love shades of brown

Hermes

This is my favourite collection from Paris this season

John Galliano

Another shade of brown, but it wasn’t Galliano who made this happen. It was the new guy at the label, Bill Gaytten. I’m anxious to see more collections from this newbie.

Lanvin

Alber Albez is seriously on track to turning Lanvin into a brand as big as can be. His success at Lanvin reminds me of how some of today’s biggest luxury brands Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Gucci through Marc Jabobs, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Tom Ford respectively where revived.

Louis Vuitton

Vuitton’s menswear line has a new Creative Director in the form of Tim Jones who grew up in Kenya. This was an exceptional collection and can only do good for LVMH.

The five most prevalent words running through my mind while in Taiwan: Oh shit, I’m gonna die.

- Asian drivers everywhere.
- Street food = unsanitary preparation.
- Mysterious asian food. People keep telling me, “oh it’s just like chicken.” like hell it’s chicken.
- Smokers everywhere
- Mosquitoes
- Hot, muggy weather

Hands down the funniest looking fish I’ve ever seen, with its open mouth and buck teeth. This was in an aquarium park in Taiwan.

Taken using my Canon Ixus.
