????.

Well, I think I did.

I don’t expect myself to be getting hurt whilst travelling but rather I worry about actually getting there and going back. I have no volcano cover so let’s hope Finland’s got my back! Volcano cover, oh gosh, wasn’t that a joke on Simpsons once? I wonder if that was before or after last years fiasco. Anyway, it’s hilarious. To an extent.

checking out a deserted street near my hotel last night…

??

So last weekend ICLP arranged another fun-filled afternoon… this time in Maokang.

The area used to be the biggest tea growing area of Taipei. There are many intertwining footpaths which have been used to transport tea. Now, it is a popular place for tea culture and viewing the night scenery of Taipei City.

It is very easy to get to. You take the Wenhu Line (Brown Line) to the Taipei Zoo Station then you transfer to the super awesome Gondola! The ride is pretty long and it only costs 50NTD.

After the ride, we were able to spend the rest of the afternoon at a lovely old tea house. Though we first received a very extensive vocabulary list of Tea Terminology, Tea Manufacturing Terminology, Tea Classifications, Tea Set Names and Items, and Tea Making Process Terminology.

I didn’t understand much of the lecture given by the tea house proprietor, but he was quite a host. In addition to teaching us how to brew the tea, he provided us with musical entertainment which included flute, drums, and grass-blowing.

And then it rained… and it was beautiful.

mother monster is going to Taiwan soon!! and the chinese news reported how crazy her little monster were, just to get in queue to get the tickets!

UK, Bill Gates lead $4b vaccination drive

Meeting in London for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) summit, politicians, charities, private companies and philanthropists pledged more than $4 billion to the campaign.

It is estimated pneumonia and diarrhoea kill three times more children under five worldwide than malaria and HIV/AIDS combined.

Experts say the death toll is so high because developing countries cannot afford vaccines.

Today I got my treadmill, I’m super super excited to begin some legit exercise finally! I’ve lost 24.4lbs with very little exercise, so I’m excited to amp it up. The one time I lost a lot of weight in the past years and years ago it was from consistently using the treadmill.

I’m going to make myself turn into a complete exercise freak, I really want to be one of those people who claims to be “addicted” to exercise/the endorphin rush.

So for the rest of the week, I’m going to use the treadmill for a minimum of 2hrs a day. Aka 10 hrs. It will mostly be fast walking, a bit of jogging and a bit of running. With my intake I post everyday, I’ll also post my workouts and miles/km run. But I won’t post “net calories” I don’t think.

I weighed in at 239.8 lbs on sunday and I want to weigh-in at 234.6 lbs or less this sunday! Then I will have lost 30 lbs. Which will be spectacular. =]

Food wise or exercise wise, any suggestions?

A Baby Born With three Arms - Amazing

SHANGHAI, China — Doctors in Shanghai on Tuesday were considering surgery options for a 2-month-old boy born with an unusually well-formed third arm.
Neither of the boy’s two left arms is fully functional and tests have so far been unable to determine which was more developed, said Dr. Chen Bochang, head of the orthopedics department at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center.
“His case is quite peculiar. We have no record of any child with such a complete third arm,” Chen said in a telephone interview.
The boy, identified only as “Jie-jie,” also was born with just one kidney and may have problems that could lead to curvature of the spine, local media reports said. Jie-jie cried when either of his left arms was touched, but smiled and responded normally to other stimuli, the reports said.
Chen said doctors hoped to work out a plan for surgery, but the boy’s small size made it impossible to perform certain tests that would help them prepare.
Media reports said other children have been reported born with additional arms and legs, but in those cases it was clear what limb was more developed. Chen’s hospital is one of China’s most experienced in dealing with unusual birth defects, including separating conjoined twins.
