Otunba Gbenga Daniel otherwise known as OGD is the outgoing Governor of Ogun state and a former godson of OBJ known as Baba to some people.Over the past eight years OGD had ruled the gateway state like his personal fiefdom ,and had the state legislators in his pocket whileObasanjo sung his praise to high heavens.But now the chicken has come home to roost and both men have gone their seperate ways,with dire consequences.It is not known at what point both men fellout over what, but grapevine has it that OGD got too big for his shoes,so Baba decided to show him who the father was.They both have two different factions with OGD supporting his stooge Gboyega Isiaka as the next governor while Obj supported his fellow retired general Tunji Olurin.OGD lost out and swallowed the humble pie by prostating and begging for forgiveness from the former President ,an apology the unforgiving general accepted before humiliating OGD in public during Jonathans visit to Abeokuta.OGD apology and reconcillation is just a smokescreen for his tacit support for the opposition candidate in the forthcoming election and if I was the Owu general I'll sleep with one eye open.
