WELL HERE'S TO THE LAND YOU'VE TORN OUT THE HEART OF.

A protest song that lives, and unfortunately evolves, throughout the generations of American 'dissidents.' It looks like our kids will have a version of their own, after all. Try to erase that from the blackboard. Pearl Jam will be releasing a documentary film of their first "20" years in the near future.

From good days past so long ago. Pearl Jam's "10" came out "Twenty" years ago, during 1991. The second single, from the epic album released after 'Alive' and before Jeremy, was a cleverly written power jam that was actually a tricky song about a homeless man's peril, possibly also suffering from loss of his thoughts. At a 1994 Florida concert Vedder indicated that even then there was a local homeless community living under a bridge. Vedder asserted "they ain't all crazy, and sometimes it's not their fault." Even Flow-"thoughts arrive like butterflies. Oh he don't know so he chases them away."
