We know some Norwegians. It is not the type of place anything like this can even be understood, let alone neutralized. The shooter explicitly screamed "you are all going to die!!" and started shooting up the place. Even worse he wore a police uniform, and requested children come closer before opening fire. The horror on the island played out like the mirror image of "Jaws" where people jumped into the water to swim away from the terrible danger on dry land, instead of trampling everyone to get out of the water because the shark was coming. The shooter used multiple weapons, and shot without remorse or compassion-the only reason some survived is because they played dead and the shooter still had other 'definitely' alive targets left. There were around 600 youth at the camp-85 lost their lives, many escaped death but were wounded. Those are battlefield-type firefight body counts, and not good ones. These numbers aren't too far off from the casualty figures sustained by the air cavalry at LZ XRay during the earlier months of the Vietnam Conflict {450 or so troopers engaged-79 killed; 121 wounded at LZ XRay-The Utoeya numbers still may rise a bit more due to the level of mayhem, and the fact many took to the water-at least 4 are missing}. The investigation continues into whether the arrested suspect is a lone gunman, or part of a larger conspiracy.http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/europe/07/23/norway.survivors/index.html?hpt=hp_p1&iref=NS1

Link includes photos, maps and more details...seemingly everything but a rational explanation for such savage behavior. A quote from a Norwegian states that prior to this tragedy he thought Norway 'lived on the outskirts of fear.'}
