Red Hot Chili Peppers don't seem to be concerned about the leaking of their new single -- they seem more worried about whether the music is actually any good.

Bassist Flea told BBC Radio 1: "The only thing that I would ever worry about would be if I was lazy or I didn't really take my time in the songwriting process to make the music as good as I thought it could be.

"That's the only thing I ever fret about because I do have a lazy streak. Anything that happens once the music is done, come what may."

When your previous album sold more than two million copies in the US alone, you can afford to be a bit less bothered about illegal downloads.

The band's comeback single, 'The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie,' was premièred earlier in the week and bootleg copies soon spread online.

It's the first new material from the band in five years, since the release of 'Stadium Arcadium' in 2006.

Their new album 'I'm With You' will come out in August.

Given their lengthy break - the lay-off included two years away from both touring and writing music - it's no surprise that the band were bursting with new material.

Flea said: "We wrote 70 songs, so it's not even necessarily all the best ones that we put on."
