Lady Gaga's label Universal contacted police after names and email addresses were made public but were quick to point out that no financial details were taken.
The singer is said to be distraught after the incident and a source told The Mirror: "She's upset and hopes police get to the bottom of how this was allowed to happen."
A spokesperson for Universal said: "The hackers took a content database dump from www.ladygaga.co.uk and a section of email, first name and last name records were accessed. There were no passwords or financial information taken.
"We take this very seriously and have put in place additional measures to protect personally identifiable information. All those affected have been advised."
The attackers also made death threats and branded the pop star "homophobic". That claim follows recent allegations that Lady Gaga has used the gay community to sell records, something she has described as "ridiculous".
Lady Gaga isn't the first Universal act to fall victim to the hackers, both Amy Winehouse and Justin Bieber have been targeted in the past.
