We watched last nights 'game' from the confines of a friendly neighborhood Irish pub, with an acoustic guitarist, and almost had our blood pressure go off the charts into Aneurysmland. Fact is, the Orioles did themselves no favors on the field, but Showalter also had a chance to fire up his team by getting ejected after what appeared to be a really, really bad call against the Orioles when the game was still tight. You think Earl Weaver would have put up with that?? Fact is, Showalter should have lost his cookies, gotten ejected and kicked sand on the umpire/Mrs. Wiggins, then if you want to yell at your team later, it fits in the 'keepin' it real' package. Truth is, if Baltimore wanted Tim Conway for a manager, they would have hired Tim Conway. And man, the Os are headed south like a mallard hit by an RPG round. We could spend hours on this topic, but purposes of decorum prevent us from really getting on a roll today.
