my beachy palette

A mini mood board I assembled
the other day as I daydreamed
about decor plans for the living room.

The palette is inspired primarily
by a Meredith Pardue abstract
(her color sense is yummychic)
as well as an atmospheric
Sargent and glorious neutrals
(sand, putty, aqua, french grey,
quiet gold, black, and a little turquoise).

The
subdued
faded
worn
colors
whisper
lovely...

all photos mine

Those whispers matter, don't you think?
Because the unlovely has a way of grabbing our attention.

Human frailty
guarantees
life will be more than just
beer and skittles,
fabulous chandeliers,
and walks on the beach...

Mannnnnn, I do resent that about human frailty.

I'm a visual and sensual person
with a wild imagination.
The colors in my palette
have a sedative effect,
impart balance,
and ignite
hope.

And hope never disappoints.

Ever assembled a mood board yourself?
