Josef Suk, Czech Violinist and Descendant of Dvorak, Dead at 81

Highly regarded Czech violinist and composer Josef Suk died Wednesday, July 6, after battling an undisclosed illness, Reuters reports. He was 81.

Suk was born in Prague in 1929 and is the great-grandson of famous composer Antonin Dvorak. The violinist founded the Suk Trio in 1951 and the Suk Chamber Orchestra in '74.
