INFRASTRUCTURE FOUNDATIONS, LOCAL POWER GRIDS, BEING TAXED TO THE LIMIT TODAY.

We had some more time to think about that BGE program from earlier, and are seeing that New York City just registered perhaps it's greatest power usage reading ever. Luckily, on a larger scale, it seems bigger, corporate/industrial consumers are cutting back during high usage periods, on a large scale, for rebates/incentives. The local BGE program is sort of a small scale version of that. However, it makes one think in simple math terms-if we have record numbers now, and are taxed to the limit of blackouts, what would have happened if we not had these voluntary incentive programs?? And if we are still growing, what happens when we our needs inevitably outplace the precious, existing supply?? And don't forget that nuclear energy isn't so cool anymore. This article kind of freaked us out about the difference in the value of a currency and the value of a precious limited resouce, and the possible dire consequences of running out of the latter {see Lord Humongous at top...just walk away...just walk away}.

Evening update: BGE had to deal with many 'steamed' customers who were on the 75/100% AC cycling incentive program. We believe they were nice enough to put all subscribers into the plan where they only shut down their AC 50% of the time.
