
The USA won't sleep tonight, maybe more, after so many opportunities squandered. After two late stabs at trying to get the win in regulation and extra time, the Japanese women would not be denied, and it appeared everyone in the pub had the feeling when the game was to be decided on penalty kicks that destiny was not on American shoulders today. Congratulations to the Japanese women, and Japanese nation, who get a deserved victory and a welcomed chance for a tsunami/radiation decimated nation to smile. For the record, we don't think any late round game should be decided on kicks-play
continuously until October if you have to, but make it so somebody has to score with everybody on the field. We only know of one American man who is truly rejoicing tonight over the sweaty Asian women...
