The singer -- who came out as bisexual in late 2009 and has a six-year-old daughter with former girlfriend Claire Granger -- has denied uploading the phone on to the site.
James protested his innocence to Heat magazine (via Mail Online) saying: 'I didn't put that photo up there. Why would I do that? I took it for my friend -- who's quite fat -- so he could pretend he'd got really fit. It must have got into the wrong hands via Twitter."
The picture reveals that James hasn't been wasting his time the gym. One can only feel sorry for whoever ended up with with someone more tubby than the gym-toned singer.
Blue are seemingly more prone to gaffes than most of the their contemporaries. Speaking in the aftermath of 9/11, bandmate Lee Ryan claimed that saving whales was of greater importance than dealing with global terrorism. More recently, the hapless Ryan was arrested after getting embroiled in a fight at his birthday party -- while bandmate Anthony Costa was snapped making the wrong kind of deposit at a bank when he urinated on to cash machine in London.
