Black Eyed Peas to take 'extended break'

Black Eyed Peas are to take an extended break when they return to the US from Europe, will.i.am has announced.

Currently finishing off the European leg of their tour in support of last year's 'The Beginning' album, the group will commence their hiatus after their show in Madrid on 14 July.

Despite 'hiatus' often being code for 'splitting up', fans needn't worry as it's not the first time the group has taken time out between albums. will.i.am tweeted: "The @BEP will take a break after the beginning... just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d... but it doesn't mean we stop creating."

However fans desperate for their Black Eyed Peas fix will be able to entertain themselves in the comfort of their own living rooms, as the group recently announced the launch of their own video game. Entitled 'The Black Eyed Peas Experience', the dance game is set to be released soon on both X Box and Wii platforms.
