Amy Winehouse makes surprise appearance at Dionne Bromfield gig

Amy Winehouse made her first public appearance since the disastrous gig in Belgrade that led to the cancellation of her European tour. The 'Rehab' star took to the stage during her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield's set at Camden's legendary Roundhouse venue.

Arriving unannounced on stage, Winehouse gave Bromfield a hug and danced with her before urging the audience to the 15-year-old singer's new album, 'Good For The Soul'.

According to The Sun, an onlooker said: "Amy staggered onstage and grabbed the mic to beg the crowd to buy her protege's new album. She was dragging a guy around with her everywhere she went but cut him loose to make her announcement. Dionne looked totally bemused by the whole thing."

Winehouse was forced to can her European tour of 12 gigs in countries including Turkey, Greece and Spain after she was booed off stage at a concert in Belgrade, having slurred and stumbled her way through the opening songs.

A statement released by her management at the time read (via NME): "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."
