We were a student at College Park during Bias' senior year, and got to see his magic up close and personal. For many of us, we all remember where we were, and what we were doing ,when the news broke that Bias had died of a cocaine overdose just after being drafted by the Boston Celtics. His future seemed so bright-his talent beyond belief. We saw him play against Jordan, and we can make an argument that Bias was better at the time. However, he was surrounded by troubling, poor, influences who took him down the wrong path and to the grave. From what we understand the blow he sniffed was so pure, and he did so much, his heart just gave out. A cautionary tale for young athletes, and even non-athletes. We also can't believe that Bias would have been 48 this year. This also means we are getting old, too. Very, very sad story-College Park was just not the same the next year.
