fairy lights, hormones, and hedonic adaptation

Even in the warm months of summer
I love the twinkle
of a little fairy light.

Sorry. I have somehow misplaced my sources for these images.
It's a safe bet at least one is via Emma's Blogg.
Help a sista out if your memory's better.*

*i blame hormones

This image makes me wanna fling a string
of em over my dining room hutch.

And seeing this lovely cabinet sort of makes me want
to blow up my hutch and hunt down
one more like this.
Wow.
I sound considerably ungrateful.
As if I believe happiness is having what you want.

Let's shrink my unsavory mood...
Maybe HEDONIC ADAPTATION is at work.*

Do you concur, armchair psychologists?

*then again, sounds a lot like hormones talking

All sorts of groovy unexpected whimsy happening here.
Help me, i love that floor lamp,
and the head on the marble thing makes me LOL.*

*is it really such a hoot?
or could it be hormonal?

Not summery, but aren't these lights precious?
Pottery Barn Kids has some pink rosy fairy lights
in the store, but I was tempted to throw a tantrum
when I didn't spot any white ones.*

Feelin fairy light?
Feelin gratitude?
Feelin hormonal?
Feelin lucky?

*oh yes i do blame estrogen.

p.s.
FOLLOWING
this blog will not balance hormones
but it will provide sweet therapy
whether you're on a menopausal rollercoaster ride
or footloose-y goose-y and carefree.
