Cheryl Cole has applied for a new US visa
Cheryl Cole is heading back to the US.
She's applied to make her temporary American work visa permanent.
'It's business as usual as far as Cheryl is concerned,' a source tells The Sun.
'She wants to become a respected recording artist over there and Will.i.am is orchestrating that.'
US TV bosses have still not issued a statement about Cheryl's exit from the US X Factor and fans have been demanding her reinstatement.
She is expected to return to the talent show on Wednesday in New Jersey.
Original reports suggested she'd just pop in to the US X Factor to say goodbye, but now it's believed she could be given her job back (if she ever really lost it).
'Behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl,' a source tells the News Of The World.
'And key executives at Fox all realised they had made a big mistake.
'They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realising that she could be a huge star over there.'
