Marilyn Monroe would have been 85 a couple days ago. As a result, there have been some tributes to her with her with new photos being displayed, and it made us feel spoiled when everyone has a cell phone or digital camera. Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson/soon after Norma Leane Baker, was born in 1926. We like older women, but... Anyway, she died at age 36 in 1962, allegedly of a barbiturate overdose. Though her later years appear tragic {much like what happens to so many female celebrities these days}, when one reviews her old photos it is clear she had a natural beauty in her younger years. The spontaneous color digital 'boobie flash' pictures of today are far to easy to turn heads-we love the black and white, "PG" version, prints from her photo shoots. When you read her back story, the lyrics to Elton John's 'Candle In The Wind' seem so hauntingly accurate.
