WESTERN MARYLAND JUST GETTING F'ED UP BY MICRO-BURST STORMS.

We actually pulled a family with a couple kids under the bar area, behind a wood facade to protect everyone from suddenly flying debris. The first picture shows the beer garden area in the early innings, the others show the carnage that went down in less than 10 minutes during the 5th inning. Look at the picture of the table we were sitting at along the left field line both before and after-the other umbrellas became pointed projectiles-the black umbrella was at a table in front of ours, but ended up flying into the left-field ambulance port area, the red one at the table we sat at, pictured over our shoulder, bent like a twig after we dove for cover in the beer cove area-look at how the pole bent, but stayed in the support. Mother Nature is not our friend lately-consider this night was a Memorial Day weekend tribute night for military personnel. After what we saw tonight, we can not imagine what the people of Missouri and Arkansas have endured-the force of this much smaller burst storm was genuinely terrifying; the tarp actually was ripped in half while trying to be placed upon the field. Game is technically suspended-save your stub for any Suns game, but if you go tomorrow you will see the conclusion of the suspended game, as well as an abbreviated, 7 inning, second game. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.

11:00 DC AREA NEWS SUGGESTS SEVERAL TORNADOES THREATENED WESTERN MD//DC TO BOWIE-ISH REGIONS-STORMS CAME FROM THE TROUBLING, DEADLY BANDS THAT WORKED THROUGH VIRGINIA. THE STORM, FOR US, WENT FROM PARTLY CLOUDY AND MILD TO FAR BEYOND FUCKED UP IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. WE CAN ACTUALLY SAY THIS IS ONE TIME A NICE WOODEN BAR PROMOTED OUR GOOD HEALTH. WE ARE SEEING PICTURES OF UPROOTED TREES IN BETHESDA, AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A TORNADO TOUCHING DOWN AROUND BOWIE. IF YOU ARE IN ANY OF THESE AREAS, YOU ARE LIKELY SAFE NOW BECAUSE THE STORMS WERE SO FIERCE, AND FAST, THEY HAVE ALREADY MOVED NORTH-EAST. TONIGHT'S EXPERIENCE WAS VERY SURREAL-ALWAYS TAKE THE CAMERA!! WE STILL DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL DO THE FIREWORKS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT AFTER TOMORROW'S GAMES. IRONICALLY, WE WERE TALKING TO THE CREW WIRING THE EXPLOSIVES OUT BEYOND LEFT FIELD WHEN THE NATURAL FIREWORKS KICKED IN.
