As if the residents of Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas needed more water. Whereas the south-west is going dry due to a lack of water, towns within states around the central/lower Mississippi needed this reality like a hole in the head. The Mississippi is at heights not seen since 1937 when hundreds were killed, and copious farm land was swallowed by the rising waters. This story is being somewhat over-looked; this is not like the tornadoes that killed so many recently, it is more like a hurricane where you see the 'beast' coming a few days prior, but you are powerless to stop it. BTW-this also is a good time to remind you that your standard home owner's insurance policy does not include flood insurance {that is an additional premium fee}. Stay tuned.
