Legendary jazz and soul musician Gil Scott-heron passed away suddenly on Friday after becoming ill after his trip to Europe.
Gil Scott Heron died after a short illness on Friday.
The musician published five books of poetry over the years, finishing his next book ?The Last Holiday? at the time of his death.
Gil Scott-Heron was said to be HIV positive and had struggled with drug abuse, even servicing time for cocaine possession in 2001.
