AITC 2011 PREAKNESS MAIN EVENT COVERAGE.

We will just maintain focus on a glorious day, with coverage of a glorious race. We believe NBC is covering around 4:30-with the main event scheduled to go approximately 20 minutes after the world ends {please check your own time zone to see if you have already been destroyed overseas}. We will try to find the most updated odds, and figure out which of 3-5 horses has an excellent chance today. We still believe Animal Kingdom was the favorite at 2-1, but if Dialed In, the Derby favorite, wins today it collects a $5 million additional bonus for winning three certain races. That is a lot of motivation. BTW-the link below is at least adequate-it appears many servers are overwhelmed as people actually putting some money down perform their due diligence.

WEATHER UPDATE: The best weather that can be expected at this race. Expect some people to just get burned to a crisp underestimating how strong the sun is today. For Maryland, the trend not only continues, but expect your early work week to reach 90 or so degrees for the first time this year. This track will be dry and fast. BTW-we understand Kegasus {above} is gaining massive attention from thirsty spectators even though he will, likely, not run in the race.

Many of the pictures above are from 'the old infield' days. From what we understand today, it is bottomless beer from the venue, things are pretty much under control, and the newly created 'Family Area' within the infield was lightly attended early in the day. We added the top picture to show how they have strategically separated the urinals to prevent the "Running Of The Urinals," as one of the above photos features. They don't call it "Charm City" for nothing.

http://pregame.com/sports/stories/archive/2011/05/21/Current-Preakness-Odds-for-2011-_2800_updated_2900_-160132.aspx [Pretty updated odds. We would stand by Dialed In with some sort of exacta wheel, and a side ticket 'across-the-board' on Shackleford. We don't see Animal Kingdom in the money, but expect the larger, now sentimental vote, horse, MMM to also be among the top 3. We also can't help but note the least-favored horse is named Norman Asbjornson, and is going off at 32-1. Either way, we can't wait until prerace television coverage...the Os just took the field again, and who needs that torture. BTW-it was discussed if we were to win a lottery, a horse farm in the peaceful hills would be one of the first purchases. Horses are cool. Better than most peoples.]

WE ARE NOW APPROACHING EITHER APOCALYPSE, OR "MARYLAND, MY MARYLAND." ALL 14 JOCKEYS ACTUALLY ARRIVED IN A SINGLE HONDA ACCORD. THIS IS THE TRADITION. SHACKLEFORD AND SWAY AWAY ARE AGITATED AND DON'T LOOK TOGETHER. SHACKLEFORD HAS DONE IT AGAIN, AND HELD DUE TO THE SHORTER DISTANCE. BELIEVE AK SECOND, DIALED IN FOURTH, ASTROLOGY THIRD?? THAT ACROSS THE BOARD BET ON SHACKLEFORD JUST BOUGHT SHEIK YORBUTI 72 MORE VIRGINS. GOOD LUCK FINDING JUST ONE AT PIMLICO. $28 PLUS FOR EACH $2 ON SHACKLEFORD FOR THE WIN. PLACE AND SHOW BETS PAID WELL, TOO.
