Ladi Balogun, MD FCMB
The managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Mr. Ladi Subomi Balogun have been accused by a bank customer of having extra marital affairs with his wife in a bid to hoodwink him and send him into financial slavery.The accuser, Mr. Murphy Uzohue, a Nigerian businessman based in Japan alleged that his socialite wife, Uju Murphy Uzohue had been dating the bank MD for sometime and this led to the break up of their marriage.
In statement obtained by Naijagist, Uzohue alleged that the amorous relationship between his wife (Uju) and Mr. Ladi Balogun developed to the point that the latter became a regular caller at the Lekki home, anytime he was away. He also noted in a case he filed at the Lagos High court that the bank MD often pass the night in his house with his wife.
Uzohue said his wife (Obiauju) established a joint account contract with FCMB despite telling her not to do until his return to the country. She also got a loan facility of N120 million from the bank. He insisted that all the banking documentation in the contract were signed by his wife. Uzohue said that the whole thing was a grand set up by the bank MD and his estranged wife

He is therefore asking the court to look into the case, ensure that he is left off the chain of debts that he alleged FCMB tied on his neck.

While FCMB want people to believe that the alleged sex scandal is a false alarm and blackmail by a customer who doesn’t want to pay back what he owned a bank, many are equally wondering the effect of a law suit, allegation of adultery on Ladi’s marriage. The bank boss married Banke Alakija at a talk of the town marriage ceremony some years back.
