In what was destined to be a close race between two political heavyweights,Buhari a retired Army General and former head of state handed the advantage to GEJ by crying or was he being emotional?an act that would have made his late deputy Tunde Idiagbon turn in his grave.
President Jonathan suffering from lack of confidence and low self esteem as a result of his party's poor showing in the just concluded National assembly elections.
Buhari couldn't hide his desperation for power and couldn't help himself because he saw the handwriting on the wall and knew he was in his last chance salon.
Nigerians are one of the most intelligent and bravest people on earth and I doubt if they want to be ruled by a general who cries in public,it's a sign of weakness.
I am not a big fan of the incumbent President, here is a man that has never contested elections before on his own but still managed to be the President of the most populous black country in the world. But I am not going to begrudge him for being lucky,I just hope he performs better over the next four years and not let the people down.He needs to get rid of all the political jobbers around him and make a clean break fom the past.Goodluck Jonathan is an honest man with good intentions but he needs to get rid of the likes of Obasanjo and his lot.
As for Nuhu Ribadu,he is nothing but a complete joke and hypocrite, hasn't got a chance.I advise Buhari to cut his losses and go back to his native Katsina and enjoy his army pension with the little dignity he has left.
