Bacteria in Swimming Pool at Playboy Mansion

Los Angeles County health officials said they found the bacteria that causes Legionnaires disease in a swimming pool of hot water bath at the Playboy Mansion. A number of people fell ill after attending a fund raising event at the house, last February.

As quoted from the Los Angeles Times, 17 April 2011, health officials revealed their findings at the annual conference event at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, United States.

Legionella bacteria, the bacteria found in it, also causes other diseases called Pontiac fever. Symptoms of the disease include fever and headache.

A number of people attended the conference DomainFest , fund raising party at the Playboy Mansion last February , fell ill and suffered from respiratory problems .

Health workers from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health found itself using Facebook and other social media sites to conduct a survey of all 715 guests who attended the event, which lasted for three days.

Of the 439 guests who successfully contacted, revealed that 123 of them have a fever and at least one other symptom with 69 people fell ill, 48 hours after the event finished.
