This past Monday on Raw, the mysterious 2-21-11 promos came to an end. Revealing the return of "The Dead Man" The Undertaker. Shortly after he hit the ring, The lights went, and out comes Triple H. Now if you hit the spoiler sites, you know that WWE plans on having Taker Vs Triple H at Mania. Subsequently if you go to those sites, you know that there is the possible chance of having it be another Streak vs Career Match. Which makes me think "Didn't we just see this?"
Sure there is SLIGHT groundwork for this feud. Taker and Hunter have a full house of history between them. Not only that but the fake that Taker retired Shawn Michaels last year at Mania could work in favor of this feud. But really? Like I said this is all very familiar. Honestly if they make this the stipulation for the match, IF there is even match, it seems WWE is trying to take the easy way out of retiring Triple H. Lets be honest for a second, Taker isn't losing at Mania. (Yes I'm a Taker Mark.)
If this does happen, if this is the best way to retire a superstar, a legend, an icon, how the fuck are they going to retire The Undertaker. Who is Taker's last feud going to be? When is it coming? Is it now? To be honest I don't know. I don't see many people that could take out Taker and make it seem/ feel right.
If I was in charge, and of course I'm not, I would have put the belt back on Sheamus, at EC, instead of giving Jerry a match, have Sheamus come out on Raw the next night speaking his high praises of himself. Then hit the lights for the return of Triple H. They cut AN ACTUAL PROMO!! Which sets up a rematch, Belt vs Career Match at Mania.
Now if I had Triple H going against Sheamus at Mania what would I do with Taker? Wade.. They (for some reason) have this open feud (of sorts) with then Nexus now the The Corre (mostly) They could have a match at Mania, a damn good one, having Taker win, but since the match was so good it would put Wade over. (like what happened with Triple H and Sheamus last year.) No Corre interference, just a straight up good match. But that's what I would do.
What else what I do at Mania you say? Well that's simple. I'd have Edge go into his match with Alberto Del Rio, and retain the belt. Too simple? Well the next night on Raw or Friday on SmackDown, have a promo with Edge and Christian. Where Christian would talk about him being in Edge's shadow or whatever, then have him attack Edge, turning Christian heel, and starting up a potentially good feud, going into Extreme Rules, where they have a Ladders or a full on TLC match.. AWESOME!!
