Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins is opening his own independent wrestling promotion. Corgan has been a long-time fan of professional wrestling and dabbled in wrestling during a feud with Lou E. Dangerously in ECW.
He is being billed as the creative director for the promotion, dubbed Resistance Pro and will make an official announcement at Wizard World Chicago in mid-August regarding plans for the promotion.
