We don't choose to deem them 'hikers' anymore as they don't deserve the designation based on the multiple, no-brainer warnings against their reckless behavior. The three, part of a Christian group from the Middle-East, went around a metal guardrail, disregarded redundant warning signage in multiple languages/graphics, ignored multiple verbal pleas by witnesses to stop and then intentionally stepped into the rushing water upstream of Vernal Falls to pose for a picture on a mid-stream rock. A female in her 20s fell first, and two males in their 20s jumped in to try and attempt rescue. We give them an "A" for faith, but an "F" for common sense. They all went over the 317 feet high falls as witnesses helplessly watched from close enough to observe their final facial expressions. Park rangers are now considering starting to vigorously ticket ANYONE found disregarding 'off the trail/closed trail' warnings. This brings the number of Yosemite deaths this year to 8-there is also some suggestion that the man recently fatally mauled by a grizzly in the national park was actually also recklessly hiking on a closed trail.THE THREE YOSEMITE WATERFALL VICTIMS MAY NEVER BE RECOVERED.
