For those who may have watched the NBA deciding game {we only watched once the series was decided-who needs to watch spoiled brats play pro basketball)-this is nothing like that. You will not see players leave the ice until both teams shake hands at center ice, with respect and humility. At the end of the game, The Cup will be handed first to the winning team's captain, who will then pass it to teammates according to seniority and respect, who will skate it around the arena. The NHL season has gone as far as it can go-something big breaks this evening. Vancouver's reward for being the 'better' regular season team is that the absolute final game is played upon their home ice. AITC's heart, and actually it's head takes Boston tonight. We stand by our pre-series prediction that Bruins goalkeeper, Tim Thomas, will be the MVP. We also can't help but remind that Vancouver goalie, Roberto Luongo, played more poorly than Ray Charles would have in Game 6-ultimately pulled within 10 minutes after allowing 3 bad goals, and he should never have mocked the Bruins after Game 5. It is a shame few 'get' hockey, or futbol, because they are very classy sports. NBA, schmem-BA. BTW-ticket 'brokers' are getting between $700 and $8,000, per seat, for last minute tix tonight. Nothing personal, but we recommend a six pack of your favorite chillies, and free national tv coverage. BTW-the only thing wrong with that priceless photo above is that legendary D-man, Ray Bourque, should have hoisted the Cup while in a Bruins jersey. Better late, than never. Game time, we believe, is at 8:00 p.m. ET.
YOU COULD SAY WE ARE VERY PLEASED-DUE TO INTERNATIONAL INTEREST, WE COVER THIS AT OUR NEW 'PG, GLOBAL' BLOG [ aliveonthethirdrock.blogspot.com ]. Very cool-and Roberto Luongo should have remained silent after Game 5...
