As many of you may have noticed, we had shut down AITC a few days ago due to the cumulative effect of many mounting issues. Our feelings were that given our own personal challenges, and the fact we are very bitter with the direction Maryland, and America, have headed that we were not being as humorous and were becoming too jaded and cynical. Our rationale was the blog was taking away from time we selfishly needed.Whether it be our selfish ego, or genuine intentions, we missed the opportunity to interact with our readers and possibly provide content that would be helpful, if only adding a laugh. Maybe it is a new cultural phenomenon that could be called "Blog Withdrawal." That being said, we are going to unlock AITC again for all readers. We do not know if we may have to put things on hold again after all, but we miss AITC, and you. We know some people do not feel our Morning Wood feature is respectful-our intent is to not be disrespectful, we would give anything to be a beautiful young, confident woman ourselves {not to the point of cutting things off a man, though}. In the long run we may have to make some changes, or perhaps let AITC retire as it is/was, and start afresh with a different format.
We hope nobody felt disrespected by our pulling the plug without saying "goodbye." Many of our readers know the various, and increasing, challenges that have tested our confidence and resolve. Please provide us feedback about things that you like or do not like, and we will do our best to accommodate. If there comes a time when we retire AITC, and start a new version-we would at least like to give all of you time to know in advance. The simple fact is we do receive selfish benefits from our writing. We have made more dear friends than enemies, and even if we have only helped a few people ourselves we consider that a victory. And no, we aren't really leaving the country to become a rabbi. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but we don't think we would pass the job application process. May blessings and good karma find you all. BTW-that picture is of us a decade ago on a cool wintery day along a prominent Amsterdam canal a day before we proposed to our wife. Single, young and not suffering from borderline heat stroke in center Maryland/Hell...now that is life.
