VERY UNSTABLE WEATHER PREVAILS ACROSS MARYLAND.

There are some periods of broken sun, mixed with almost tornado-ish conditions {officials still have yet to say if an official tornado touched down in Washington County a couple nights ago}. Roads are very slick, so slow down and stay off the phone-get your lights on. Rush hour is awful at the major choke points right now. Expect about the same tomorrow, but we are terrified as now we are noticing a lot of flying insects, building humidity and, inevitably, our first multi-day 90 plus heatwave. It is almost Memorial Day, after all. We don't even want to consider the spike in the power bill. If you can survive the week, it looks like an excellent sunny weekend and early work week. Fresh air and exercise, good for big and small legs!! Please let us know if you would like some referrals for hotels/restaurants/target locations if traveling AWAY from the MD/DE beaches this summer towards, destinations near the Shenandoah Valley through Gettysburg down to Annapolis region. Assateague is about as good as you get for more pristine Maryland beaches these days, and Easton, Stevensville and Kent Island, MD offer some clean, safe options for Eastern Shore travelers. The traffic is bad enough; who can afford the gas and tolls to go too far!!
