Maybe fast planes/space exploration just aren't the adventure we crave, but we would be terrified to be atop that candle when it is lit tomorrow. Lots of miles on those tires and heat tiles, and we just would be useless if strapped in because we would need about twelve Xanax just to not think about the fact that the launch was recently postponed due to electrical-type over-heating. These guys {and sometimes gals} have a lot of balls. We still don't think anybody should be talking about wasting money sending people to Mars, though. If you want to go to a cold, uninhabitable lifeless area you could just send people to Detroit. This will be the shuttle's last mission-scheduled for an 8:56 a.m. launch. With over 500, 000 scheduled to attend, and one launch previously postponed, we hope "lauch fever" doesn't over-ride good sense. There is still a 30-40% chance weather alone {wind/low clouds} could be a factor, let alone the now worn systems on the craft.
