AmeboNews gathered that Stella, with her position in the campaign organisation of Jonathan/Sambo, rather than allow others to benefit from the largesse accruing from the organisation, is using it to benefit for herself alone.
She allegedly registered different companies that she is using to get contracts from the presidency and the campaign organisation. It was learnt that she solely got the contract to furnish the campaign organisation office and got a N4b import waiver for rice meant to be distributed during the campaign. All these didn’t go down well with other members of the organisation who feel cheated and sideline.
She was also said to have got a contract that runs into several millions of naira to construct one of the Federal roads across the country but in her bid to make more money to the detriment of the masses, rather than use competent and experienced construction engineers she co-opted her staff at SPG who know nothing about road construction to supervise the job.
So powerful is she now that she was alleged to have influenced the appointment of her husband, Chris Ogiemwonyi as Minister of State for Works. It was indeed said that Jonathan actually wanted to make her the minister, but she pleaded with the president to pick her husband instead
Her alleged greed is said to be causing disaffection among the campaign team, as she decides to give money to only her proxies and those who are not supposed to benefit since she is the Alpha and Omega of the organisation
Another sore point is that despite her cool mien, those who are close to her alleged that deep inside her she is contrary to what her looks portray. She is also alleged to be treating her staff with impunity
