We knew they were bad, even we didn't think they would be classified as borderline retarded. Only Hawaii and Washington, DC {THE worst!!} had a lower bar for their drivers. New Jersey was 47th. So, as you look around and see people driving the speed limit in the passing lane {thus increasing 'wolfpacks' and road rage}, eating/drinking/smoking/reading/texting/applying make-up {or all at the same time} behind the wheel or just generally going left on red and and other dumb shit, you know why our state sucks so much. What is frustrating is that New Jersey and the District are so close by, we are like in the regional rectum of driving {dis}ability. Viewing the comments in the Sun article below, it seems we are not alone in our frustration-many cite state with vigorous "keep right unless passing" laws and frustration over people not using turn signals as the activities that make them most twitchy and agitated. BTW-mid-west states like Iowa and Kansas were among the 'best driving' states.
