GOOD, AND BAD, NEWS FROM JOPLIN, MISSOURI.

The official list of the missing has been reduced from 1,500 to 232. That is still a horrible number this late, and the list of the officially missing includes some of the faces seen on all the television coverage {Lantz Hare pictured above-he was sucked out of a vehicle in which his friend survived}, are still on the list. We can't imagine the heartbreak parents of those missing are feeling. We hope that list gets as close to zero as possible. 125 had already been confirmed as deceased. Tragically, one was the 16 month-old toddler missing from a family, who already lost so much. It also seems as if this region has dealt with this as neighbors, congregations, brothers,-we see a lot of state resources and dedication, in our opinion, there should be a more powerful federal voice in place by now. Mikey Brown was over his head, but at least he had boots on the ground. It took a long time, and unbelievable added grief, for those parents/friends/relatives to wait so long {more than 72 hours??} to even get confirmation that their missing were in the morgue all along. BTW-In a tragic mid-afternoon update, the young man pictured above, Lantz Hare, has now been officially confirmed as killed by the tornado.
