AITC STANDING OVATION FOR OPRAH.

Sure, it would be easy to make some jokes, and we have poked some fun in her direction the past few years {see harrowing tales of Sheik Yorbuti and Hugh Jackman below}. We didn't watch an entire single show during 25 years, however, we can not argue with success from people who try to genuinely heal from the heart. As we look at a violent Baltimore, where Oprah started as a entry-level correspondent, we can't help but feel the world needs more strong, powerful role models like this. From encouraging people to read {even if the book was questionable sometimes}, to funneling her good fortune to wonderful causes to just providing a friendly, matriarchal voice to millions each day, Oprah will be remembered for many generations to come. We think of her as the "Anti-Trump." It is not easy to come up with daily material that is relevant, challenging, inspirational and entertaining-especially for 25 years. What the world needs now is the African-American MALE equivalent of Oprah to be a proper role model for so many lost male youth who have instead followed the violent/misogynist rap, poseur athlete and murderous street gang cultures. Good luck, Oprah-thank you for leaving America a better place than it would have been without you!
