AITC CORRESPONDENT STILL BEARS MENTAL SCARS FROM FAILED HINDENBURG/THANKSGIVING TURKEY DROP TRAGEDIES.

On May 6th, 1937, the 'state of the art' zeppelin, Hindenburg, burst into flames while mooring by rope in New Jersey. The state-of-the art passenger craft was carrying 36 elite passengers and 61 crew-by the time the flames were extinguished 35 on the craft were dead, as well as one person on the ground. The horrible incident will live in visual infamy thanks to the entire incident being captured on crude black and white video. it also marked the first time one of our field correspondents would win the treasured "Buck Eye News Hawk Award" as he manned a microphone and provided emotional commentary during the conflagration. It was only the path to greater things though, as this esteemed newsman would later outdo even this epic journalistic feat by providing live audio coverage of the epically failed Cincinnati area "Live Turkey Drop" Thanksgiving promotion organized by a now defunct AM radio station. Oh, the humanity!!
